Longitudinal Assessment of the Impact of Social Media on the Teenage Brain

In this project, we’re studying whether—and how—social media use shapes the developing reward system. Analyzing longitudinal data from late childhood to mid-adolescence we study how self-reported social media engagement relates to changes in brain activity during reward processing over time. This work is currently submitted as a Stage 1 Registered Report. (https://www.cos.io/initiatives/registered-reports).
